    Abstract
    Purpose: To examine the impact of green warehouse practices on performance of sugar manufacturing firms in Western region Kenya Design/Methodology/Approach: This research used two types of designs, namely causal and descriptive research. The target population included 152 procurement staffs and thus census was adopted. Structured questionnaire and interview schedule were used as the methods of primary data. Pilot study was done in Rift valley Sugar Company. Construct, face and content validity were adopted and reliability focusing on cronbach alpha. Analysis of data was carried out using descriptive and inferential statistics. Descriptive analysis was used to determine frequency, percentages, mean and standard deviation. Inferential: Pearson correlation and regression analysis. Data presented with tables and graphs. Findings: The study reported a positive significant relationship between green warehouse practices and performance of sugar manufacturing firms in Western region Kenya (β =1.087, p =0.000). Implications/Originality/Value: The management and employees ought to ensure raw materials before and after production are well stored to avoid their deformation. The accepted storage means that are environmentally friendly such as storage bags and buckets should adhere to green warehouse requirements.
